The annual World Scouting Jamboree-on-the-Air (JOTA) and Jamboree-on-the-Internet (JOTI) will be taking place again this year from 17 to 19 October 2025. JOTA-JOTI is the world’s largest digital and HAM radio Scout event, promoting friendship and global citizenship.

After many years of dedicated service as our National JOTA-JOTI Coordinator Richard Hooper is stepping down from this role. Richard will be continuing to support the event within his Scout Group and District. Thank you, Richard, for all the support you have given many of us over the years.

Are you passionate about JOTA-JOTI? Would you like to open up the event to more children and youth in Scouting in SA?

We are looking for a new SSA National Coordinator JOTA-JOTI who will be responsible for planning, promoting, and overseeing the annual JOTA-JOTI events within SCOUTS South Africa. This role is a volunteer position.
