We know that sometimes questions arise and our National Adult Support and IT teams are continuously working towards improving our support services for our Scout youth members and Adult Leaders.
Here are our current options:
Scouting Support WhatsApp Forum: https://chat.whatsapp.com/Fz1ay3OUh5GKGbt0qq7lax
The Scouting Support Forum serves as a space where experienced volunteers can answer concrete questions, offer guidance and share best practices when adult volunteers are unsure of what to do, or what certain policies or badges require. We are volunteers like yourselves and understand that sometimes you just need some advice from someone who is in a similar role or who has been there.
Support helpdesk: https://support.scouts.org.za
This helpdesk is manned by volunteers from our various portfolios. From queries relating to Scouts.Digital (SD), the Permit System, programmes, marketing and more. If you need human support, log a request through the platform or email the Adult Support team at [email protected].
Support Bot: support-bot.scouts.org.za
This is our new project that the Tech Team are trialling along with Adult Support. It’s not a replacement for the platforms above, but – using AI technology – provides quick and easy automated real-time information for your specific role. From asking about upcoming courses, to what you still need to tick off for badges and if they’re available in the national Scout shop. Scouts, Parents and anyone with an SD login can access information aligned to your SD role.
