The PLTU courses are one of the finest challenges on the South African Scouting calendar. Exciting outdoor activities support the specialised leadership training you will receive during ten tough, but achievement filled, days.

The courses are staffed by fellow Scouts and Scouters/Rovers who have previously risen to the PLTU challenge. Attend one of these stimulating adventure courses and learn the skills that will make you far more effective leaders, both in your Patrols and in your everyday life. What you learn will benefit you long after the course has ended.

Course: 45th Weston PLTU
Where: Gilwell Scouting Centre, Florida Lake, Johannesburg, South Africa.
When: Tuesday 28 June (08h00) to Thursday 7 July (22h00) 2022
Cost: R3500, but if paid on or before 30 April 2022 a R200 discount will be applied making it R3300. This includes accommodation levies, meals, activities, 2 T-shirts, a scarf and comprehensive support material. In addition, participants commonly carry R100-R250 pocket money, paid in advance.
Who: All Scouts / Rangers between the ages of 14½ and 17 with leadership potential in their unit and a minimum of Discoverer / Level 2.
