The World Scout Jamboree 2027 organisers are pleased to be providing financial aid through the Solidarity Fund for a Patrol from South Africa consisting of 9 youth participants from low-income families. We are inviting members who fit the criteria below to apply. All applications must be done through our online form (find it HERE), and simultaneously, the required documents must submitted to [email protected] before the closing date of 15 April 2026.
How to qualify:
- Must have been born between 15 August 2009 and 15 July 2013.
- Must be an active member of a Scout Troop and Patrol for 2 years minimum.
- Must have achieved their Discoverer advancement before departure.
- Must be recommended by their Court of Honour and Troop Scouter.
- Will be required to provide a financial contribution of R6,000 (Six Thousand Rand) towards the full Jamboree Contingent Fee.
- Will be required to provide proof of income and bank statements of the parents/guardians to support their application.
What does the Solidarity Fund cover?
Costs covered by the Solidarity Fund include:
- Registration fees for youth.
- Transportation costs from the home country to the Jamboree site in Poland.
- Visa fees (if applicable).
- Tents, sleeping bags and camping mattresses.
- Cooking and camping equipment.
Costs NOT covered by the Solidarity Fund:
- Passport application/renewal.
- Transport to and from the airport.
- Gift items for swopping.
- Personal spending money.
- SCOUTS SA jamboree uniform items & kit.
- Any pre or post Jamboree tours. (we anticipate this Patrol will travel directly to the Jamboree)
