I showed my mum that I can clean up

This year we are celebrating 100 years of Cubbing. In South Africa, being in a Cub Pack means that you get to explore the world around you and discover new places.  We spoke to Breadon Lee Delily (9) from 1st Merrydale Cub Pack in the Western Cape.

Breadon DelilySSA: Why is Cubbing so much fun?
Cubbing is fun because you get to go on trips.

SSA: What was your best experience with Cubs?
My best experience was going on my first camp with my Scout Group.

SSA: What is the weirdest thing you ate outdoors?
The weirdest thing I ate outdoors was a snail.

SSA: What was the toughest challenge at Cubs?
We had a concert and that was really tough because I only had a few weeks to prepare.

SSA: What was the most amazing place you visited with Cubs?
The Aquarium at the Waterfront was the most amazing place I visited with Cubs.

SSA: Can you name a few things you have learnt by being a Cub?
I learnt how to make different things like for example knots.

SSA: What did you teach your mum that you learned at Cubs?
I showed my mum that I can clean up!

SSA: What makes a good Akela?
An Akela has to be patient with the Cubs.

SSA: Why is your Akela special?
My Akela is special because she teaches us new things.
