Calling all Gauteng Patrols
We all miss Kon Tiki and are holding thumbs that it will run again soon, but, in the meantime, we have an exciting new Patrol challenge to keep us busy this winter: Non Tiki! Non Tiki is a Patrol challenge that will see you camping out and accomplishing tasks together as a team. Some of your Scouting skills that will be put to the test include camping, pioneering, mapping and cooking. And how is your general Scouting knowledge? This too will be put to the test in our inter-Patrol Scouting Quiz.
The event will be held on the weekend of 14-15 August. This challenge constitutes a Patrol camping challenge and you will need to arrange to camp at your Hall, a regional campsite, a private campsite or in a Patrol member’s garden. This event should be considered as a Patrol camp for your Star Patrol evaluation. An information pack with instructions will be issued in due course once you and your Patrol have accepted the challenge and registered to participate.
The cost for Non Tiki will be R40-00 per Scout, which includes an event badge and the costs that cover running the event.
